Pollycraft Challenge 23 Furry Friends

I made this card using the fab Reindeer freebie image download here from the fab Pollycraft blog site, I love him and couldn't wait to use him on a card. I printed the image onto kraft paper and decorated the nose with red Stickles glitter glue. I printed the Rudolf the red-nosed reindeer song onto kraft paper again and used this behind the image. I used yet more kraft paper, some Daisy & Dandelion Christmas papers and a couple of buttons. Hope you like it x

I have already submitted this card for the challenge on MSE to make a card to be sent to British troops overseas so they have cards to send home. I made others for this challenge here so I hope it's ok submitting for this challenge too x

Christmas Cards for Troops...

These are the Christmas cards I have made for the MSE Challenge of making cards for Bristish troops. I have tried to keep the cards reasonably 'flat' so they would be easy to post. I've used papers by Daisy & Dandelion, DCWV and Dovecraft. The Forever Friends bear images were bought on ebay - I LOVE them, the cute reindeer (named Dave!) was a freebie image from Pollycrafts and the boy pulling the sleigh was a new stamp purchase this week from Funky Kits, isn't he cute!!! If I have time I may make one or two more.

This reindeer was printed onto kraft paper and I printed the Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer song onto kraft paper too. I used this gorgeous freebie font on Pink Peticoat.

Added some dots of Icicle Stickles to resemble snow falling on these two cards.

This one is quite a small card but I think the Santa bear is very cute x

Crafty Place August Tri-fold Card Swap

This is the card I made for this month's card swap over on Crafty Place. I made my tri-fold card blank which is actually an A4 sheet of card folded into quarters and the front piece is glued to form a pocket so the card has 3 moveable sides - does that make sense? The papers are DCWV Pocket Full of Posies. I added a stitched tag to the pocket, a couple of flowers and some buttons. Hope Ali likes it x

A couple of present makes...

This is a little image wallet I made for a special lady.

I made this card for the lovely flourgirl to say thank you for some beautiful things she made for me x

I made a cute little Coaster Calendar

After spying an oh so cute idea on a blog (sorry was blog hopping and can't remember which blog) I thought I'd have a go myself. I used a coaster that I'd bought ages ago in a sale on a scrapbooking site, they were 10 for £1 (could also use beer mats), a tear off calendar by Anita's - 10 for 99p, Winter themed paper by DCWV and some ribbon, a flower and a button. So total cost was about 40p. I love it and am going to look for some little magnets that I could put on the back so the calendar can be stuck up, on a fridge maybe? I have already started making a few more as I love the idea and think it makes a fab little Christmas present. Would also make a nice Christmas pressie for teachers, ooohhh I can see me making loads of these, need to order some more calendars I think ;-)

Creative Card Crew Challenge 25

There is a beautiful sketch challenge over on Creative Card Crew this week. I opted to make a Christmas card. I used DCWV cardstock and papers and a very cute Forever Friends image. I have refrained using any Stickles glitter glue but am tempted to add some somewhere, just not sure where... x

Crafty Place Altered Container

This is a container I found laying around in the garage and have pinched it and filled it with stash I had in various boxes and bags, feel much more organised now!

This challenge has also helped me sort my flowers - now in an ice-cream container - not yet decorated. I sorted my stamps out and they are now in a caddy bag (got cheap from The Glitter Pot a while ago) rather than in a pizza box with loads of packaging I didn't need to keep. I've also put my pens in a box and thrown the packaging away and all my stamped images are now neatly in a small box.

Crafty Place ATC Swap

This is the ATC I made for the lovely Choccy for the Crafty Place ATC swap this month. I printed the freebie image onto kraft paper, added red Stickles glitter glue and some ribbon.

Creative Card Crew challenge 24 - Christmas in August

Here's my card for this week's Christmas card challenge over at Creative Card Crew. I stamped the tree image with brown ink and then decorated with baby blue Liquid Pearls, layered with blue and brown core'dinations cardstock and mounted onto beautiful K&Co paper. Finishing touches were some blue ribbon and a couple of blue dots in the corners. Hope you like it, thanks for a fab challenge this week :-)

I also made this more traditionally festive card. I've used papers from Daisy and Dandelion and a cute Fairy Doodles die-cut image from Buzzcrafts.

Happy Christmas everyone!!!

Crafty Place August Card Challenge - Christmas

Here's my Christmas card for the August Crafty Place Challenge. The colours are black and brown so pretty different but I think I quite like it. I made a 6" card blank with Bazzill cardstock and printed the fab Dustin Pike freebie image onto kraft paper (loving this stuff at the moment). I have added two dinky stitched snowflakes onto the paper and some Stickles glitter glue to the bobbles on the hats of the snowman and dragon. The greeting is stamped using an ultra cheap but very fantastic Studio G alphabet set. So do I successfully pass the no red, green or gold test?

MSE Stitched Challenge Card

This is my card for Gemm's stitching card challenge over on MSE. I printed the beautiful vase of flowers (freebie found courtesy of the fantastic Jennie!!!) onto kraft paper, cut out and rounded 2 corners and stuck it onto the card. I then made holes in lines to stitch through which I have done with black embroidery thread. The lines are supposed to be sort of straight but not neat to make the card look a bit rustic. I added a cute flower charm and a greeting and intend to send it to someone who has received some fantastic news recently.

Look What I've Received...

This is the oh so pretty card I received from Kaitlyn, isn't it beautiful. Kaitlyn is 4 years old and her colouring is better than mine. She is a superstar, thank you very much Kaitlyn x

This beautiful pocket card is from the lovely Mel, I love this and Mel is another super colourer, aren't those stamped images adorable x

Funky Fairys Challenge 29 - Xmas!!!

Here's my card for this week's challenge. I used the fabby free Funky Fairys download Xmas papers and added a stitched snowflake and a stamped greeting of 'let it snow', oh and a bit of ribbon and glitter glue. Hope you like it, I really enjoyed making it :-)

My Craft Fair Stall

Here are a couple of pics of my stall yesterday. People commented on how nice it looked but I thought it looked a bit of a mess, once a few things were sold I could re-jig things so it didn't look quite so crowded. I really enjoyed the day.

A Couple Of New Cards Quickly Made Today With My Fab New Stamp!!!

This is what I have come up with using my gorgeous new Crafty Individuals stamp and some lovely Wisteria papers from Basic Grey. I've made two of the same card as one is for my aunt (giving her the one on the right that hasn't stamped quite so well) and the other is hopefully going to sell on Sunday at the fair!

This is a tri-fold/gatefold card. I used a piece of 12"x6" Bazzill cardstock so the finished card measures 6x6". You can't see very well from my dire photo but the golfer bear has the number '65' on his shoes and the word 'dad' across his chest. I cut the letters and numbers with the Quickutz Squeeze, blue dots are from Sarah's Cards - I am loving these dots at the minute!!! The paper inside is by Imaginisce - from a sale and the stitching inside was done from a Papermania template. I wanted to make my dad a fun card as I think some people are being rather serious about him reaching the dizzy heights of 65, I hope he'll like his card x

Funky Fairys Challenge 28 - Black & White

I am very nervous as this is my first entry for a Funky Fairys challenge. I used Black Tie paper by Imaginisce from the Capture the Magic sale, clear dots from Sarah's Cards a paper strip punched with my fab Fiskars lace punch, some black ric-rak ribbon and a circle image from the Funky Fairys Doodamentals download kit with some text added. I had fun making this card as I am not normally a black and white gal! Hope it is acceptable for the challenge x

Quote Book For My Very Special Dad

I have made this for my dad. I used a Basic Grey mini book (bought cheap in the DoCrafts sale months ago) and gorgeous BG Offbeat papers.
