I've made a box!

I bought the Martha Stewart Scoreboard a couple of weeks ago and I decided to open it up this morning and make a box using the instructions that came with the board. The box is 4" x 4", I've used DCWV Linen Closet papers as they are super thick and very gorgeous! The basic box took a few minutes to make, I can't believe it was so easy, the scoring was a dream! I have decorated the box with a fan (just scored a strip of paper at half inch intervals and folded it up and glued at one end) and some flowers and pretty little butterflies. The box is for a friend for her birthday next month. I have enclosed a braclet I bought a few weeks ago from Pink Poppy Creations (it's beautiful) and made a magnetic peg and a paperclip bookmark using the same DPs as the box.

I would like to enter my box/contents into the following challenges:
Simon Says Challenge - Buttons, Bows and Bling! (button on the peg, bow on the box, bling everywhere as the paper is glittered)
Allsorts - Week 49, Be Inspired (I have little butterflies on the flowers on the box lid, on the peg & bookmark)
Papertake Weekly - Do Something Different (first time using my scoreboard and making a box)

Here is the contents, a bracelet (bought from Pink Poppy Creations), a decorated peg magnet and paperclip bookmark.
Supplies:
Papers - DCWV Linen Closet
Brads - from stash
Ribbons - from stash
Adhesive sparkly dots - Papermania
Button - Basic Grey Lemonade
Tools - Martha Stewart Scoreboard, Hobbycraft butterfly punch, XCut & Hobbycraft flower punches, Woodware leaf punch, Quickutz journalling circles die

ATC for a Swap

Here is the ATC that I made for the Crafty Place ATC swap this month. It was sent to Margaret and I hope she likes it :-)

I used some fab MME Quite Contrary paper (love this paper) and a new Quickutz tree die, well when I say new... I've never used it before but bought it over a year ago ;-) I used Glossy Accents on an owl that I cut out of a piece of scrap paper and decoupaged him (the one on the tree). Again I bought the Glossy Accents last year at the Hobbycrafts show but never got round to having a play with it.

I would like to enter this ATC into the current Fab n Funky Challenge to use neglected stash. God I have so much neglected stash ;-)

This is the ATC I made for last month's swap...

Thanks for looking x

Twit Twoo!

This is a bit of a fun colourful card. I used a new Prima stamp and stamped the owl twice onto white card, coloured with Promarkers and decoupaged his wing and beak. After sorting the backing paper and the branch he is sitting on (cut using a template from Craftwork Cards), I stamped him again onto the paper so he stood on the branch and stuck his coloured-in body on top.

Time for a card with a difference!!!

I think I have a bit of a 'style' when it comes to making cards but now and again I like to try different things. I have seen Joy Fold cards on a couple of people's blogs and fell in love with the design so went off to look for a tutorial and had a go at making a couple today. I really like the design, it's unusual and miles away from my usual 6x6 square card ;-) I apologise in advance for the zillions of pics but it was hard to photograph to show how the card opens.

Finished my Easter cross stitch in the nick of time!!!

This project seemed to take me forever to get finished and at the end it was a case of getting it done rather than stitching because I enjoy it ;-) I am really pleased with the finished design and the frame I found to mount it in. I removed the glass so you can properly see the stitching and added a little flower charm. It is my mum and dad's Easter pressie and they really liked it. I think my mum will have it somewhere in their house all year!!!

This is the chart I used, I love Lizzie Kate, my favourite company for cross stitch designs. I changed the pink wording to green.
