We're all at sea at Cards for Men...

It's time for a brand new challenge at Cards for Men and we have a fab theme for you to follow 'WATER' (n.b. card must be for a male). Our sponsor this time is the wonderful Hope Jacare and the prize is 3 Hope Jacare digital images!

Claire, the lovely owner of Doodles by Hope Jacare has this to say: "I'm a SAHM with three young children. I trained in Textile Design at the Glasgow School of Art and I love all things handmade, but especially papercrafts. I love to doodle ... and my doodles are available to purchase as digital images through Stitchy Bear Stamps."

Please pop over to the CFM challenge blog to check out the details of our new challenge. As always the DT have made some wonderful cards, please do pop across and have a peek and have a go at the challenge while you're there. So onto my DT card, I used a gorgeous image called Trevor Turtle designed by Hope Jacare available here. The weather this last week has been pretty poor so I thought I'd make a few cards with Spring in mind in the hope that Spring will hurry up and get here soon!

I have decorated the inside of my card in co-ordinating papers...

Papers - Sparkling Spring by Prima from Dies To Die For

The second is a cutesy Easter card. I love the little chicks and the Prima papers.

We are being sponsored by the fabulous Crafty Emma's Store, anyone who is a regular visitor to my blog knows I shop here quite a bit ;-)

Please do come and join in the fun and check out the gorgeous creations made by my lovely team mates. So onto my DT card, I decided to make a girly card using some gorgeous new papers and a new Tilda stamp. I have made the ribbon and bow effect using a strip of paper; to make the bow I curled the paper with some scissors before securing it in place so I had nice curves to the bow. Hope you like it.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

My first spring-time card of 2011

I can't wait for Spring, I really can't. I love the slightly chilly mornings with the bright blue sky, long walks in the woods looking at all the new growth on the trees... And of course there's Easter, who doesn't like Easter!

I have made this card with a new Bildmalarna stamp I bought recently from Dies to Die for. I absolutely love it, the lil bears are soooo cute. I have used some of the fab seam binding now available at Crafty Ribbons. I have scrunched it up before using to give it an aged look.

A close up of the ribbon, I think it's gorgeous, it's a sort of stretchy material, found it in Hobbycraft when looking for some red ribbon that I needed last minute.
