Birthday Boy!

My eldest monkey is 8 today and this is his birthday card from his dad and I. I have gone with a pirate theme as he had a pirate themed party on Sunday (crazy golf dressed as pirates!). I love this cute image, I found it feeling all lonely and unloved in my digi stash. I purchased him as a Pollycraft bundle with some other images and never got round to using this one.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Anything Goes at Whimsy Stamps this week!

It's Wednesday so that means it's time for a new Whimsy Stamps Inspirations challenge! Our theme this week is Anything Goes.

I have made an uber cute gift pouch using a template by Tammy Louise Cunliffe. I printed out the papers (Country Cottage Charms by Michele Roos) on both sides of a piece of white cardstock and then printed the template over the top of the paper design that is to be on the inside of the pouch. I cut the pouch out by hand. I have added some brown ink to the edges for an aged effect and decorated the front with some handcut flowers (using another fab template by TLC), a lil butterfly and a greeting.

Supplies:
Papers - Country Cottage Charms by Michele Roos
Sentiment - from the set Everyday Mini Postage Stamps
Pearls - stash
Tools - Shape EZ Gift Pouch template by TLC, Shape EZ Flower Swirl template by TLC, Marianne Designs butterfly die, Mini Postage Stamp die, brown chalk inkpad

It will soon be Easter...!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mummies in the UK. I have tonsillitis so not feeling too great but am being looked after. I think I am going to have to drag myself off the sofa to to the ironing later though :-( I managed work all week apart from Friday afternoon and am hoping that after a quiet weekend will be back with it to return tomorrow.

In order to try and get ahead I have made a couple of very simple Easter cards. I used another little cArt-Us stamp that I picked up when I nipped into Hobbycraft a few weeks ago. This one is called Chinese Flower and for just over £1 is an absolute bargain ;-) I have kept my colours light...

Sentiment - Girly Curly Sentiments by Pink Petticoat

Now for something a bit different...

This is a very different style of card for me, look at all the blank space...

I printed my image onto kraft card, coloured it with Promarkers and then mounted this onto a homemade kraft card blank using 3d foam after inking round the edges. I have embellished the card really simply with 3 buttons. I think I really like it...

Another Tilda and she's all Yellow!!!

Blue and Yellow...

It is such a lovely sunny day here today. Hope the sun is shining where you are too.

Something pretty after a rubbish day...

How was your Sunday? Mine has been rather crap. I firstly dropped my phone in my cuppa and it died. The iron then blew up and I found out my nan has had yet another fall and was in A&E. She is thankfully ok, bruised but nothing broken this time. So after all that 'urgh' I thought I'd while away some time making something for me, well, the card isn't for me but making it was a bit like therapy after all the crap ;-) x

I have used a stamp I bought weeks and weeks ago and never used. I adore this image, not sure I've done her justice but think she looks ok. I love the brown and green colourway, so soft and delicate. I added a border with a new c'Art-us border punch I won from Cuddly Buddly (thank you, it's gorgeous) and included lots of texture, I love texture on cards...

It's blog hop time at Whimsy Stamps!

It's March digi release day at Whimsy Stamps and there are lots of fab new images and some beautiful papers too. Please hop over to the Whimsy Stamps Inspirations blog to join in the monthly hop, there are fab prizes up for grabs!

For my card I have used a lil cutie bunny image called Raggedy Bunny Tulip Bouquet. She was such a joy to colour, I kept my colours soft. I have teamed her with some gorgeous vintage style papers that have just been released designed by Michele Roos (a brand new artist at Whimsy Stamps). I haven't used a sentiment as I don't think the card needs one and don't want to cover up any more of that paper ;-)
