I've chosen to make a card with one of the new January release images, designed by a new designer to Whimsy, Fairydust Images and is called Faithful Companion. I absolutely love this image and thought she'd look beautiful in lilac. My fancy edges are scallops on my card blank and my Nestie scalloped circle...

Image - Faithful Companion by Fairydust Images coloured with Promarkers & Flexmarkers
Paper - Promises from Lili of the Valley
Pearls & flowers - stash

CAS cards

Good morning well all I can say is thank goodness it's Friday, been a rather long and strange week back at work. Only 4 more then I can have some more time off, yippee! I think I've already mentioned my plan to make more CAS cards... well you can't get much more CAS than these. I have used a cute set of Paper Smooches stamps called Chubby Chums. I bought these weeks ago from My Mum's Craft Shop and only just got round to using them, they are sooooo adorable. I have stamped the images and sentiments directly onto the card blanks...

Sorry got some rare sun rays on this pic...

Thomas Wizard

It's my lil man's birthday, 6 today! The boys and I are heading back to school, them to learn and me to work ;-) We've had a fab couple of weeks off and will have another week off in about 5 weeks so not long to go! Already got things planned for that week - 2 days in Manchester and to the Harry Potter Studios near Watford.

Anyway back to the crafting... this is the card I made for Thomas for his birthday. He loves Harry Potter and I went looking for images and found the most gorgeous set of cute wizards at Stamp Fairy, this chaps name is Tommy. I bought a few and have used 3 images and one sentiment on my card, the sentiment is actually a free download ;-) I glued 2 card blanks together to make a 3-sided zigzag card. Sorry about the poor photos, believe it or not it was incredibly sunny when I took these so they look a bit washed out...

This is on the reverse on the middle section for our message...

Here is the card my son Jack made for his brother, he too liked Tommy the wizard. He coloured Tommy with Promarkers and chose his own colours, papers and die cut shapes. I think it looks great...

Supplies:
Images - Tommy Wizard from Stamp Fairy coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers
Sentiment - freebie from Stamp Fairy
Papers - Back to Basics Modern Christmas by Dovecraft (yep using up my Christmas paper!). The gingham paper on Jack's card is by Craft Creation
Buttons - stash
Other - Nestabilities circle, scallop circle & labels one dies, Quickutz star dies, brown chalk inkpad

It's Clean and Simple at Allsorts...

Good morning to you all, we are headed to Stratford, London today to visit the Lego shop for Thomas' birthday (it's on Monday). I expect to be sitting down for much of the day (drinking nice coffee hopefully) while the boys and their dad decide what they are going to spend their cash on ;-) We're going to have tea at TGI Fridays - Thomas' choice. I am going to sneak a cake in and ask them to bring it out at the end of the meal so we can sing happy birthday.

It's time for a new challenge at Allsorts challenge blog, our first of 2013! Our theme this week is hosted by the lovely Emma and is Clean and Simple (CAS). Now I want 2013 to be the year where I crack CAS cards as I love them when made by other people but when making them myself find them sooooo hard, I find all the blank space intimidating.

So onto my DT card, I have used a fab image/sentiment set from Digistamp Boutique. I have chosen to use the coloured image supplied rather than colour my own (yep, lazy I know). Without any colouring to do the card took no time at all to put together. I've just added some Stardust Stickles to the image and used a border punch down the side of the card...

Supplies:
Image/sentiment - from the Simply for Valentines A4 set from Digistamp Boutique
Other - Fiskars Apron Lace border punch, Tim Holtz pink cardstock, brown chalk inkpad, Stardust Stickles

Please do come and join us over at Allsorts this week for our challenge x
