Bunny Girl...

Good evening, well I have to say I am enjoying my time off so far. The boys and I went to see Earth to Echo today, really great film, sort of a cross between Stand By Me and ET :-) We are off to the local museum tomorrow. I am ashamed to say I have lived in this town for over 13 years and have never visited, thought it was about time we should. May be able to squeeze in a touch of shopping and maybe some lunch too. Ooohhh to be a lady of leisure fulltime ;-)

Anyway, I made these cards to be sent together for a mum and daughter, hope they like them. Very cas in design...

Eeekkk Big Cards!!!

So I showed you earlier in the week how I tried using distress inks which freak me out, well, this post is about one of my other crafting no-nos - BIG cards! All my cards are 6x6 or smaller but I was asked to make 2 cards for people who are leaving at work. Rather than make huge cards I have stuck 2 8x8 cards together to make a Z-shape card. I think there is plenty of room for people to pop their messages and there was less 'space' on the front for me to try to fill. What do you think...

A close up of one of the tiny butterflies surrounding the sentiment...
This shows the Z-shape...
This uses papers in the same range but a different colourway...

Supplies:
Sentiments - from the New Beginnings Sentiments set and the Smile Sentiments set from Whimsy Stamps
Papers & bunting - Tea Dance Collection by Craftwork Cards
Pearls, ribbon, buttons & resin flowers - stash
Other - Tim Holtz swirls embossing folder, Woodware leaf punch, Spellbinders circle die, brown inkpad

Thanks for looking, see you on Saturday for our new Allsorts challenge x

Stencils & distress inks...

Morning peeps, I have a confession to make... I am scared of inks. I see so many beautiful inky creations on blogs and love them but feel I could never create anything remotely as lovely. Well I've taken the first step into the inky world. I needed to make a large batch of thank you cards for teaching assistants and wrap around care staff and I had an idea in my head using a stencil and ink. I purchased the supplies I needed and got to work and well I am very chuffed to admit it worked!

The cards are quite small and I've made 20 of them in different colours. What do you think...?

Supplies:
Stencil - Texture Mesh by Memory Box
Inks - Tim Holtz Mini Distress Pad Kit 1
